Welcome back!

Estamos acostumbrados a caminar por la ciudad sin darnos cuenta de cómo se llaman los edificios, partes, elementos que nos rodean. Es hora de aprender, cómo decirlos en inglés para poder tener conversaciones sobre ello.




GRAMMAR OF THE UNIT

En este tema vamos a dar unos cuantos MODALES. Aunque en nuestro libro únicamente aparezcan NEED and MUST, vamos a introducir también otros que nos ayuden a tener más recursos a la hora de expresar lo que respondemos ante una acción y su deber.

NEED TO : necesitar hacer/decir/caminar…. NEED SOMETHING: necesitar algo

Y A CONTINUACIÓN, AGREGAMOS LA EXPLICACIÓN DE UN MODAL QUE NO VIENE EN EL LIBRO PERO NOS SERVIRÁ DE GRAN AYUDA

SHOULD

Cómo usar should:

· should + verbo (sin “to”)

· Se usa para dar consejos o decir qué es lo mejor en una situación.

· shouldn’t = consejo negativo (no es buena idea).

Ejemplos:

· You should rest. (Es buena idea que descanses.)

· She shouldn’t run now. (No es buena idea que corra ahora.)

HAVE TO – TIENES QUE

Se usa para expresar obligación pero no tan fuerte como MUST.

· I have to study. → Tengo que estudiar.

· She has to wear a uniform. → Ella tiene que usar uniforme.

👉 Regla:

· Con I/you/we/they → have to

· Con he/she/it → has to



❌ Don’t have to / Doesn’t have to

Se usa para expresar que no es necesario hacer algo.
(No significa “prohibido”.)

· You don’t have to hurry. → No tienes que darte prisa.

· He doesn’t have to cook today. → Él no tiene que cocinar hoy.

👉 Regla:

· Con he/she/it → doesn’t have to
